J. Hyte Johnson

Music is an important part of our family heritage.  My father, Dr. Jack Stoddard Johnson, was the Choir Director for the Tremonton First Ward (Utah) for 25 years until his passing.   I've had the privilige of leading various ward and community choirs in Mesa and in the Tucson area.  I feel blessed to have sung in Mack Wilberg's Concert Choirs during my time at BYU, and also under the tutelage of Michael Ballam and Will Kessling's choirs at Utah State University.  This web site is my way of giving back and offering a collection of music that uplifts and inspires, freely. Compositions on this website are from several of my talented brother in laws, Benjamin Chapman and Curtis Benjamin and of course, include my own.

Professionally, I lead the Environmental Health and Safety team, for Raytheon Missiles and Defense and I live in Vail Arizona (Tucson).  I'm priviliged to work with some of the most talented and amazing people anywhere, and we've accomplished some worthwhile milestones over the years.  Our sites are all OSHA VPP "Star" sites, and we work to improve every day.  We're working hard on ESG, safety and sustainability issues to support a great mission of defending freedom through supporting the warfighter.   I learn something everyday.

Feedback on pieces is rare, and I welcome comments and critique for improving the music.  I offer the finale files freely as well.
